Yeah, yeah......I know. We didn't post anything during the week, but this truly has been the 'week from Hell'!! Everyday this week has been like an 8-hour stress test and how I haven't had a nervous breakdown or slashed anyone in my office with the Koho by my desk, I'll never know.

I am just trying to make it to 5PM today without going insane!! Here's hoping you all make it there as well.

Buffalo Sabres Basement Party Turns Violent; 3 injured - 5 Arrested.

A traditional gathering of Buffalo Sabres fans, fueled by cheap beer and poor basement ventilation, resulted in what one Buffalo police officer described as "a drunken riot".

Area Sabre fans routinely get together at the home of Jeff Klahn to cheer on their favorite NHL club. Klahn had recently remodeled his basement with new cement block walls and was anxious to have his friends over to enjoy the new confines and watch some hockey. He says he got more then he bargained for.

"How did this all happen?" Klahn answered when asked how this all happened, "How do any things like this start? Other than Arch Duke Ferninand getting shot, it can usually go back to too many beers". Klahn said the party started in his basement at 3:00PM, three and a half hours before the game started. "We had a half barrel of beer and some of the fellas brought over some deli trays. I'd say the barrel was pretty gone by game time so we started on some cases of beer we had". Other than an incident with a backed-up toilet than Klahn described as "terrifying", the first two periods were "just friends, talking stupid and drinking beer".

It was during the 2nd intermission that the evening spiraled into a beer soaked pier five brawl.
"We got to discussing Sabres greats and Don White starting making up a list on the white board I have in my basement; my wife uses that for my 'honey-do' list. Don put Gilbert Perreault in the top spot, right? Now you would think that the cause of the fight was because someone disagreed with Perreault being ranked #1, wouldn't ya? But no, it was because Don spelled Perreault's last name "Pereault" with only one "r". Curt Morey told Don there should be two "r"'s and the next thing you know, words are exchanged, the room divided into a "one r" section and a "two r's" section and then before you knew it.......I was reigning blows upon my stepson"

Local authorities arrived shortly afterwards and ending the fight with teargas. The end result; 3 hockey fans injured and 5 arrested. Local deputy, Dave Batterman, thinks it could have been much worse; "I shiver to think what might have happened if they had try to spell Jocelyn Guevremont!"

Okay, what's going on? Earlier this week, my wife tells me she ordered some stuff from Fredericks of Hollywood. Trust me, I'm all for lingerie.

Then this morning, she tells me she picked up some tickets for Friday nights Wisconsin Badger/Mankato State playoff game!!! Completely outta the blue???!!

So I figure I'm in the zone like Mike Green was earlier this year and riding a tremendous hot streak OR I'm in really big trouble........I checked the cars and theres no destroyed bumpers??!!
